Then, locate the battery's hatch and then open it with a flathead, a coin, or another similar tool. Next, carefully pry the battery out of its socket by lifting up on the side that is closest to the key-ring loop. Use rubber gloves to shield the electronic contact surfaces.
After the battery is removed, place the new one in its socket. Ensure that the positive side of the battery is facing upwards and that all clips are in place. Slide the cover toward the key-ring until it becomes loose and it falls off. Then, remove the cover to reveal the hidden key blade.
